Default WTB 997.1 GT3

Hi All!

Decided to expand my search for a 997.1 GT3 by reaching out to the rennlist community. Plan on posting in the market place as well but figured it would be good to post here as well.

Budget: 90s (Maybe low 100s)
Miles: Anything in the 20-50s range would be ideal which should line up with my budget.
Condition: Maintenance up to date and previous service records would be nice. Clean DME required (a few range 1 and 2s are okay). Pinned lines would be nice but not a requirement. Would prefer a clean exterior that has been protected with PPF. However, for the right car I would be open to one that doesn’t have PPF and has some exterior imperfections.
Mods: Tasteful mods are fine such as exhaust, headunit, cage, upgraded clutch etc.
Colors: Cobalt/midnight blue, atlas/meteor grey, basalt black and speed yellow.
Options: Full leather/interior stitching in a deviated color, guards red instrument dials or interior carbon package would be nice but not a requirement. Don’t need PCCBs but not a deal breaker if it has.

Located in Colorado but am willing to get it shipped from afar if needed. Feel free to PM me or post in this thread if you got something you would consider selling. Thank you for the help with my search!

Based on my discussions with a few recent buyers/sellers you're probably looking at very high 80's or low 90's for the car you're describing. Good luck with the search.

I don't have the link handy, but I think your car is in the classifieds right now - Speed Yellow in NJ

Yeah I saw that one it's very nice but I am also looking for something that has full leather if possible. Also color wise I am really looking for a blue or grey car unless I find a yellow or silver that is too hard to pass up.

the thought just occurred to me ... especially after just witnessing the yellow one sell for $73.5k+$5k on BaT with 92k miles to mdosu ...

Not really sure if my observation is accurate, but it seems many 997 GT3's that come up for sale are either in the sub 20k miles,... or several 10k higher than your "50's" range.
... or maybe my observation is mostly for the .1's (I spend most of my time looking at .2's)

anyway,... your budget seems inline, based on your desired preferences.

But it also seems that very few trade hands privately within the confines of these RL threads, and that so many more are on the auctions now. Not my cup of tea though. I would have a tough time buying that way (but I'm an old fart anyway, and kinda set in my old car buying ways - gotta see it first hand, gotta crawl all around it first,... and bring along one of my mechanic buddies - which is how I've bought all my cars).

Anyway,... just thought I would chime in on your bumps,... ie keep your conversation going

best of luck in your search. Once it happens, you will be forever grateful to yourself for the diligence. These cars are just amazing.
