Default Shift **** base trim

I'm learning that trying to order Porsche parts can be a frustrating experience. Ordered the only option on shift **** base trim for my 997.1 GT3 RS on Suncoast. I assumed it would replace the OEM one but came as a painted silver. Sharp looking but not one I'm looking to replace. Does anyone have the OEM parts number that is Gray in color. I found this one on Pelican but wasn't sure if it's a direct OEM replacement or not. Anyone have insight before I order?

Pelican

Shift Panel - Porsche (997-553-243-01-5V7)

Stock photo I found online. Pelican's parts diagram are Black and white photos.

Gray base trim is what I'm looking to replace.

That is not it. I think that is the entire shift surround, not the shift boot surround.

This part number should be it. 997 553 261 05D 07

I think the one you mention above is for Auto Tran according to Sunset

https://www.sunsetporscheparts.com/o...MtNmwtaDYtZ2Fz

It is for the entire shift surround as the trim run's under the dash.

What is the part number on that one? If you look on the back of it you should see one. The base part number should be the same, the end will change for the color. P

This is the part for a Cayman or Boxster, it has the same basic part number as what I posted above and this one also shows automatic transmission if I enter it into suncoast even though it definitely doesn't appear that way in the pictures on eBay. https://www.ebay.com/c/1623620398

The trim on eBay looks rough. I have a clean Volcano Grey trim piece removed from a car with 19k miles that I'm willing to sell for $100 shipped. Please let me know if you are interested. I can send pics to your email or text. Best Josh

Great deal Josh. I was only linking it for reference, that one is definitely rough.

Thanks guys, I just found another one on eBay and Purchased. If for some reason it’s not as described I’ll DM you to purchase yours. Replacing everything on my console to match my newly painted console from bumper plugs. Should arrive in a few weeks! Removing the console is not something I want to do again anytime soon!

What color did you go with? Just curious how it looks?

I'm planning to buy a new center console this winter. Either carbon and then replace the dash pieces with carbon or go with a leather one. I would go paint matched but carbon is around $1200 all in with the ashtray and paint matched is $800 or so I think.

I matched the exterior color, green. About $800 is correct. They do a core exchange so you can keep driving while they produce it.

I also had bumper plugs paint and match that piece, they weren’t cheap but I think they do a good job, remember them back to my Honda days, eBay was always a crapshoot I get a piece and it would be horrible

And another piece would be perfect

Awesome car Matt! I also had a Green 997.1 GT3 RS. One of the few cars I've owned that I regret selling. Let me know if the eBay piece is not up to your expectations. I'd say I have about a 50% hit rate on used parts on eBay and yet I always go back and roll the dice Best JBO

Yes, doubtful I will ever sell this car. Really like it. I will let you know on the EBAY purchase! Hope it goes well.
