I thought I would update you all on the Heigo Clubsport cage install I started a few months back.
-Rhonda at FVD beat her estimated delivery time (about 4 weeks)
-I ordered the cage unpainted raw and had it painted satin black like the factory
-Cage quality is very very good. Properly installed with the base plates by Chris Cervelli in CO at CTS's race shop
-Fitment was perfect and the FVD pre-drilled carpet shelf holes aligned perfectly as well
-Hope this helps anyone still struggling to do a period correct cage in a US market 7.2 RS
PS. One thing: Calling Flat 6 Speed. We didn't cut off the top tabs for the full cage attachment. Does or has anyone made the blank to complete the tab and make it look finished?
Looking great!
How do the base plates attach to the car? Are the base plates custom made and carpet has to be cut in rear seat foot well?
How much does the cage weigh?
Thanks.

Yes, carpet was cut for the rear foot. I need to look at it closer to see how Cervelli did it.
It looks as though the harness bar on the driver side is a weld in vs the bar in the initial FVD photos showing a bolt in bar. This makes it truer to the original Clubsport bar... look really good!

Thank you for that added info. I didn’t know that. 👍
