Default Replacement rear carpet for Heigo Clubsport cage

Gent's,

My Heigo Clubsport cage is being installed very soon ( just getting back from the painters) what are your thoughts on using this FVD/Porsche pre-cut rear deck instead of cutting the carpet on the existing shelf? I asked Rhonda to look into it but Heigo hasn't fitted the two up yet. It's a Clubsport copy so I am assuming this should be very close and an improvement on cutting? Feel free to give me some insight:

The rear shelf is pita to get a nice clean and accurately place cut, could be done. I would purchase pre-cut and keep the original.

I agree. And with as rare as your car is, I think we would all agree to keep the original un-cut, and if you ever sell, provide it with the car to the next owner (as you would w/ exhaust, etc).

.... I can hear your sigh right now Mr Adair,... yet another cost added to the list. scope creep,...

Puts chase pre cut. If u want an oem pre cut search eBay. I have found them on their from time to time even as recent as end of last year.

I think you are seeing what a slope this is, now you can really imagine how much went into my build

Thank you Steve and Flat6! This is wise and I am glad we all concur. That's how I will proceed!

Oh yea Tye, your build thread was amazing,... I went down some slippery slopes with some old American Muscle in my prime,... but never with a P car like you did. I'd be divorced now.
