That’s what I thought when I saw the pics. Didn’t realize you could get that as an option. Maybe added later by an owner for whatever reason..
the fact that it has back seats made me curious and thought there might be more of a back story to this car

I don't know for sure, but I don't think you could get them. I think people add them to install child seats? It wouldn't really bother me on a car that I might buy, but I would probably have them removed.

997.2 GT3s don't have the inserts in the body to install the rear seats, they must have welded inserts in.
