Default Sticky volume *****

2007 GT3 always garaged with 24k. Noticed that there is degradation of the radio **** surfaces resulting in sticky/goopy situation as if someone coated it with honey and let it dry. I remember there was a business that sold these *****, modified so it wouldn’t be a problem in the future but can’t find it anymore. Is there a source anyone ca recommend?

I did this too. No more textured coating, just smooth plastic which feels better to me anyway.

I'll have to try that. My buttons are sort of feeling sticky as is my sport chrono pod cover.

I wiped the sticky stuff off my buttons and rolled that way for a while. Made the buttons feel cheaper so i sprung and picked up a new set for $29. Much happier.

After the alcohol I haven't even worried anymore, new ones will eventually reach that state sooner or later anyway-

Can the alcohol method be used on the temperature and fan control buttons as well?

once you finish wiping down with alcohol, then apply a quick couple coats of DIY ceramic coating. It works wonders & seals up the surface so it doesn't happen again later in time.

I put it on ....

I picked up a new set of ***** for my .1 from Suncoast. They're only $24 bucks and easy enough to pull off and replace.

The alcohol removes the sticky coating and leaves the plastic bare. Once you rub down the surface with alcohol there is no need to protect the surface as it can't happen again.

+1 rubbing alcohol until all the sticky rubber rubs off.
