Default 997 GT3 4.0 intake part numbers

ello all,

for the 4.0 engine, there are 2 part numbers for the M97.74. One is also used for the M97.77.
I'd like to know which one should be used for my 4.0 engine build.

Used for both engines:
99711061991 intake distributor cyl. 1 - 3
99711062091 Intake 4 - 6
M 61B 31503

For 4.0 only:
99711061992 intake distributor cyl. 1 - 3
99711062092 Intake 4 - 6
M 61B 31504 >>

There are no pictures I can find of the differences either, but there is a pretty big price difference as well.

There is a smaller intake on the 3.6l and that share the same part on both banks.
The 3.8 and 4.0 have different part numbers.

For a custom 4.0l buildt, I'd check with Dundon Motorsports. They build a pretty sweet intake system for the 997 Mezger. They claim
61whp gain on the 3.6l with they'r headers, airbox and intake manifold kit.

My understanding is based on reading alone is that there's a pretty substantial difference in flow capabilities.

If you're in the market, there's a set of runners on ebay, and I also saw this cool custom carbon manifold - no affiliation with either!

Good luck with the decision/build!

I just purchased all of these parts last year, the 997.110.620.92 took some serious sleuthing to obtain the "last one in the system"... Hope that helps

The Dundon setup is nice, but also rather expensive. I am located in Germany and I'd have to add another 30ish% for customs and tax, but paying 10 grand for intake alone is just too much.
