Default Front canards on a 997.1 gt3?

Has anyone put canards on a 997.1 gt3? I have a rs rear wing and cup car front splitter and wonder if it's worth it? Home track is Sebring and I do Daytona onde a year.

Thank you for sharing. Did you notice much a difference once installed?

They definitely make a difference. I also have a new never mounted carbon fiber set from Demon Speed if you are still in the market. Best Josh

I've run mine for a number of years. I'm certain that they provide a level of downforce but I would be hard pressed to claim that I could actually tell a difference. You would have to do a comparison on back to back sessions on the same day and under the same exact conditions without knowing if you had the canards on or not to preclude tainting the result with confirmation bias. I'm not sure most of us weekend warriors could feel the difference. Getting the correct angle will play a factor in the amount of downforce as you can go too steep and essentially "stall" the canard. I run mine slightly shallow vs some of the other user I've seen. Just my $0.02

The canards can increase down-force at the front but the downside is that downforce can decrease at the rear. It's all a question of how you want to change high speed balance. Here is a link to a test that has been made on that issue.

I can’t tell the difference but then again how many individual mods can be judged alone......I just fit what Porsche Motorsport does, and it continually works!
