Q: what did you use to share your route with map? Thanks
I just used google maps on my iPad with multiple stops and did a screen shot.

We did a similar trip from the SF bay to Pismo this past weekend. First road trip with my .2 gt3, I must say these are great road trip cars. I can turn on / off pasm or sport as I feel like. Pregnant wife was not complaining at all, but traffic do suck at times.

Thanks for sharing. And I like your work around with Google maps to show your route.

(Btw. Why the eff a person cannot simply trace with their finger the route they wish to take, in google maps, is beyond me?!)

I use the map routing App called "Scenic". It was built for motorcycles, but works great for our road trips. Free download, you get 20 credits for any US States that you want to download maps onto your phone (so if you lose cellular or satelite GPS).

we can publicly share maps amongst friends too, so all of us have the same route in our cars. And most importantly it allows us to choose "Extra Curvy", and "Avoid Highways".

The App just recently did a upgrade on my phone,.. so the new version doesn't quite look exactly like that video above.

I only got traffic on the 101/405 when back in SoCal. Literally wide open roads for hours and hours, 0 cars. Although on 58 where I've been a bunch I've never seen a cop, but passed 2 in 1 day!

Maybe. Although the trip back on Ortega after breakfast is PAINFUL.I'd rather go run Malibu...

Don't forget to stop at Bob's Well Bread. A great place to stop during that trip in Los Alamos.

yes that route has like 100 miles of twisties. A few sections on 58 are flat and part near mckitrick is a wasteland.
It’s a good route.
you can also do 41
