The front wheels are definitely 9" width? I could really use another set of 18" front wheels, but I only have a use for the stock 8.5" width.

They are 9'' and can use the same size rubber as 8.5". Thus, less sidewall flex.

Yes, I'm sure they feel better on the car, and support a wider tire. Unfortunately I autocross in a stock class and the rules don't allow any extra width. I'll think about whether it's worth it to snag them and mount non competition tires on them.
