Default 2007 GT3RS Shift ****

My shift **** has the sticker coming off, is there something that looks/feels good and has the shift pattern machined or lasered in? I don't want to replace the boot just unscrew if possible?

No sticker on a 997 gt shift ****. The gear shift pattern is grooves in plastic with white/silver paint in the grooves.

I had a similar problem in a 997, it’s like the paint was bubbling, I ended up manually scraping it off and then using steel wool and eventually metal polish to polish it up, I’ll try to find a photo

This is what it looks like, so its paint and not a sticker? Hard to tell very sticky. Any ideas here?

Mine did same thing. Instead of scraping it off, I wish I had tried heat and see if I could smooth out the bubbles like with a hairdryer. Otherwise I don’t know if anyone sells the little plastic cap I didn’t feel like buying the whole shift ****

You can't buy the cap separately unfortunately.

I have the same carbon one and you will have to buy a new shifter.

The cap Is the same whether you buy the carbon shifter or the AlcanTara. But I suppose the cheapest way would be to buy the AlcanTara boot And pop off the cap

You can buy after mkt caps in multiple colored h-patterns and cap material. I think it would be pretty hard to tell if it was stock or aftermarket cap.

Tye was just recently selling one with the red coloring inside the pattern indents. Maybe he got it from here?

still not cheap, but less than Suncoast.

And here's one on fleaBay....
