Yea, the spec is not flattering for a RS.

Looks like it still has its original MPSC1 tires fitted!

I'm not a fan of the exact spec, but a HUGE fan of the car itself. Ooh la la!

It was the only 4.0 that had the carbon fiber hood which is signed on the underside by Hans Mezger and Andreas Preuninger. Not PTS but more rare than PTS signatures aside. Wheels also painted GT Silver Metallic. Said to be the last 4.0 to be built.

Car looks a lot nicer in this pic than the auction pic. Overall, for me right now the 997 wide-body is still my favorite iteration. I was reminded the other day when I saw a 997 C4S with lobster claws and thought the proportions were classic 911. Not that we need this reminder, but good to see others come around.

I've been itching to add a 997 to my mix. This thread isn't helping.

I seen the car
it NEEDS a serious detail then it can be saved
what I have seen if most collection, I mean big famous ones, are not detailed.
subject car would need about 7 days or so to get it to decent level, and by that I don't mean pebble concourse level. that would take FOREVER.
but the paint is salvageable for sure.

Black is not a color, it’s a religion.

I know the ceramic coatings can help with it, but it is a commitment to keep it looking even on par with an average condition “easier” color.

Also what comes out of this is: If you drive your car, they are worth more. 3 additional miles added, and $150k in appreciation. Not bad.

His 11 Speedster has the CF hood as well, we use the same dealer and I was there when the car was in for something, I have a photo somewhere.
Still don't like the spec.
Ha.

Respect his collection and uniqueness of this build but not at all a fan of the spec personally.
