Default FS: 997 Cup Headers - How Cats Fail !!!

These are 100 cell cup headers and modified for 2nd o2 sensor. Msrp on these now is about 4K maybe more.
100 cell will trigger cat errors. Your exhaust won’t be stinky tho
and they make power too.
so ideally have a spacer or tune
These are well used and should be considered cores.
Ideally punching them out and removing the membranes as the inner membranes have started to deteriorate. This is just starting to fail but you really don’t want to run these. I didn’t see or notice any issues but eventually the deterioration will get worse
which by the way, is why i got these to begin with, to save the OEM headers from the use on track

Anyway they are timed out. But could be used as test pipes or whatever :-)

$500 plus shipping

cheaper maybe even free or a beer if you’re a local track buddy who still tracks their 997.

Does anyone know how many hours to expect to get out of Cup exhaust manifolds before they time out. I know the answer is dependent on street vs track hours. However is there some general knowledge about how long they can be run before they should be tossed? JBO

There may be a published maintenance interval for the cup cars. Not sure.

These are all wear items and need to be monitored.

If you're not tracking the car much I suspect they last a long time.
