gt2 seats swap for cgt seats?

gt2 seats swap for cgt seats?
I have a possibility for getting my hands on a set of really cheap nomex/alcantara CGT seats. Two questions:
Thanks!!
- Do the 6 point harness receptacle fit in between the seat cushion as with the GT2 seat?
- Are the mountings on this pic a direct fit on the rails that the GT2 seat sits or, or do I need new?
- Are the seat belt receptacles the same on CGT and GT2 seat?
Thanks!!

That sounds like a good deal. I always tried to keep my seat belt receptacles so I haven't bought a set of CGTs for awhile. I remember they were expensive and they weren't always available. Make sure you get a ROW PET and all the hardware that goes with the receptacle. I know there is basically only a bolt but I believe it too is different. Sorry for being vague but I do recall the price was a bummer. JBO

1. rail are the same, but CGT like seats are usually sold with rails (NOTE: OEM CGT-look seats are not CGT seats, I have both, they are absolutely NOT THE SAME, the shell is totally different)
2. CGT bucket is $$$$$$, if you want a set, I have them brand new in my stash. but this will work
Driver side female receptacle. 99780318310
Passenger side female receptacle 99780318311
I used passenger female receptacle for both sides
above works for sure, I have it in 6 for my RS's.
3. in addition to the receptacle there are various hardwares (washers, square bolt things, nuts.... you will need to mount the belts and buckets, those are not cheap) there's a reason why I sell my CGT-look seats much $$ than what's out there bc they bolt right in ( no, I am not selling any more). BUT, if you have an exceptional fabricator, he can get it all figured out without any of the OEM hardwares. if he has to ask for hardware, u need a new fabricator. hope the info helps

Thanks a bunch Mooty!
They are without rails and recepticle, as seller is using these for whatever he has swapped into his 911 C2 (maybe he gained a bit more on his waist recently?)
I checked with local Mr P, and recepticles and the hardware are roughly 400$ for both sides. I'll check if it's actually the P/N you are stating here. Seems reasonable to me.
I know they are not the 'true' CGT seats, but they are the optionals for 997 GT cars (I assume), making it an 'original' swap.
I'm missing a bit support from my current buckets (foldable), so I'm expecting these to fit the bill, right? I've read the CGT seats are more supportive than these foldable, and the pillows are still removable, so I can adjust fitment and lumbar as I can with my current.
They are roughly 4500$, which seems like a good deal, as long as my *** will fit and I'll be able to get my 6'3 through the full cage and into them... 😉

Hey bovien,
Mooty is correct. 99% to every CGT seat on this board i've seen FS on RL the past couple years aren't true CGT seats. However as you mention, they are the correct optional seats in ROW 997.1 GT3 Clubsport models. And yes you can work with a fabricator to adapt cheaper hardware to your seats. However I strongly suggest using the CGT pieces. They aren't readily available and it takes awhile order them but imo it's worth it for ease of install. Just my 2 cents. Mooty works with the best fabricators in the business. We all don't have that access. I'm not trying to push you because I want to buy your seats but I recommend sticking these in your car and driving around the block a few times without investing in the seatbelt hardware to make sure they fit your frame. Having owned a CGT and three other sets of "CGT" seats your dimensions are non optimal for these seats. Regardless I genuinely hope they work for you from a fellow E30 M3 guy Best JBO

Thanks a mill'.
I'll check them out before getting the hardware. However, I was under the impression that the hardware Porsche quoted me was specially died this seat.
But yeah, I'll see how it fit me (I'm a size 33 waist, so I'm hoping for a fit), and the rails in the car and take it from there based on available pic and descriptions above
Thanks!
