Default 997. 1 clutch replacement

Hi,
It is time to replace my clutch in my 997.1..
Can you please help me decide what route to take?

I dont track the car but will be happy to improve the angine preformnce with the 4.0 rs clutch..
Or just go with the oem one..

What u think will be best? and were u think will be the best place to order it from?

The OEM is the RS 4.0 kit, it is the only one offered by Porsche.

Had mine replaced earlier this year, the 4.0 kit is smoother and not near as stiff.

I put the lightweight flywheel in when installed the 4.0 clutch. Nice improvement in the car. Throttle response much better

I was looking yesterday and was having a difficult time finding a difference, except for Ultimate Motorwerks specifically mentioning a Sachs Pressure Plate and Clutch. Maybe Suncoast and Sharkwerks are using OEM instead of OE (I am guessing is Sachs). I would email and ask Alex at Sharkwerks why theirs is priced higher and if it includes something else.

997.1 GT3

I did my clutch and flywheel a few years ago when I welded the coolant lines. Used the 4.0 updated parts but don't have part numbers. I like the RS flywheel but it is noticeably touchier on engagement and is louder at idle. Does rev faster.

If you do the RS flywheel you HAVE TO do the RS or a dampened pulley!
http://performancedevelopments.com/p...enginefailure/

I did not initially do the pulley and backed out my crank pulley bolt after some (15k?) miles. There is no warning, just sudden loss of power steering, cooling, and lots of dash lights. Shut the car off immediately and suffered no damage, but it was annoying and stranded me.
