I searched for transport recommendations but did not find any recent threads. Planning to move from NJ to Los Angeles and have 2 cars in great shape that I would prefer closed transport (997.1 GT3 and LR Defender). Reading various threads on other forums, most transport services are just brokers that find drivers so a good review on one occasion may not translate or be reflective of consistently good services.
Are there companies used by forum members here that own their own trucks and have their own drivers that you would trust for a trans continental move?

Reliable is probably the best and the most expensive. Own trucks, drivers etc..
price was a bit higher than some, but not the highest. think i got a RL discount too.
and they kept me updated as my car made its way from Florida to California.
car showed up safe and sound.
Plycar, used them twice last year.. great communication, near real time tracking.. enclosed transport and from what I understand used by many P-car dealers.
+1 for Reliable. But as stated, they're not cheap.
I used Plycar once since I heard such great things. Car arrived fine but the communication was downright horrible.
Intercity, Reliable, Plycar are all going to be your best. When I bought my car they used a broker called Bears Transport. They ended up getting me a very good truck, ended up actually having a car from Enthusiast Auto Group on it and then it also had a 991 GT3 on it. My friend used them going from Ohio to California with good luck as well, but since they are a broker, we each had different companies doing the actual shipping.
If you can wait and have the patience for it to potentially take 2-3 weeks for your car to get picked up, and then another week or two for it to get delivered, definitely go with one of the original 3 companies I mentioned. Otherwise, use a broker.
intercity- 2,500
chips - 2,495
reliable - 2,904 minus Hagerty plus member discount (-10%) = net price 2,613.00
i heard good things about all three companies so it was a matter of timing for me, I chose reliable since they claimed car would be at my home in two weeks.
If timeline works for you, call reliable and speak with Andrew, maybe they will move faster with (3) cars coming from the east coast -

Another vote for Intercity. They did a very nice job bringing my GT3 from SoCal to New England. Driver was very communicative and their truck with the integrated ramp that rose up to 2nd level was pretty cool!
Reliable let me down, they claimed two weeks from date of order and they still haven’t picked car up. Just cancelled Reliable and ordered through Plycar, Reliable was $2,600, Plycar $2,200.00 from Massachusetts to Los Angeles.
