Default 997 Cup Car Hood Question

Hello everyone, long time lurker here. I don't own a Porsche, but do love them and hopefully one day I'll own one...964 hopefully.

Anyways, the reason why I'm posting on the 997 page is to get some help from you guys on some parts that I've been holding on for a couple of years. I have a carbon fiber hood from what it seems to be a 997 cup car, can anyone confirm or provide any insights? It would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you in advance for your help!

"...some parts that I've been holding on for a couple of years."

Reminds me of a great Johnny Cash song....

Never heard that song, but indeed a nice song, especially for piston heads... like me.

Certainly appears to be 997 hood. Most likely aftermarket or custom made for someone. GT3 Cup cars have a NACA duct on the drivers side and come the bonet pin holes. Not to mention, I do not see any mounting points for the hinges.

Hello VID997,

Thank you for that information, I'll get a couple of shots on the mounting location. From what I can recall, there were 2 holes on a raised flat area on each corner closest to the windshield.

OEM 997 Cup hoods are not CF, RSR's maybe but that's not an RSR hood. Probably an aftermarket item.
