A little more digging (from Sonnen) and I find:

can you guys explain the difference between these 2 tranny prices on a GT3RS 997.2 :: $13.8K and $16K. I must be missing a differentiation. Both Sonnen prices right?
Thnx

Maybe core exchange??

Pricing for parts sometimes makes ZERO sense. Got a quote for pair of taillights. $1200 for one side....wait for it.....$1000 for a pair. WTF.

hahaha,... I had that happen to me once on my 964 Turbo Ed. Turned out the pricing for 2 (both sides) was mis-priced. Thankfully they gave it to me at the lower price & said they would fix it (was my local P dealership).

.... so BUY THEM NOW Ed, before they figure out the mistake!! Lol

I already asked why that was and they told me that individual lights are more expensive because they're 'replacement' parts. LOL what!?!

I don't know where the $16K price came from.
But I paid this - $13,883.03 + shipping (after core exchange) and it was an OEM Getrag.

Update. Transmission is back and being installed. Picking it up Thursday. Of course, they found a whole slew of stuff that needed to be replaced. My $3k bill turned into $7k. I guess I'll have to keep it and drive the wheels off of it!
