Hi nad617,

We can definitely source the Pasha upholstery and think it would look fantastic!! Send us a PM or give a call and we can discuss the details. We will have to order the material, which will increase the production time, but it would be very unique. We have not done a Pasha insert to date, so you would be a trend setter.

Let me know if you want to proceed.

A shout out to all of P1 Designs... they made me a set of Pepita for 918 Buckets--top notch build quality and fit. I know it's not a 997 but I have every intention of using Kim and team when I retrim my perlon 996 and 997 seats!

Only minor issue I experienced is that the pepita fabric stretches somewhat in the buttocks area: over time a crease may form towards the rear of the bottom cushion. I'm still trying to figure out if there are ways to alleviate this.

Hi CRex,

Thank you for the feedback and kind words! We would be thrilled to create seat inserts for your 996 and 997 whenever you are ready

In the meantime, I want to address the crease toward the back of the seat pan. I have seen this once before, and in that instance, it was a simple fix. Naturally, some fabrics will have a tendency to give over time, especially since the covers are placed over foam that compresses and reconstitutes with use. Fortunately, the covers for the 991s (and 997s) are attached with Velcro on the underside of the foam insert, making it easy to retighten the cover, if necessary. Please feel free to contact me if you wish to discuss further.

Thanks again!

Kim

Just did exactly what Kim said... voila, loose fabric around the buttocks tightened, and now looks perfect!

(Lest there is doubt, the above refers to bucket seats and well-made cushions, and ain't some veiled reference to human anatomy or plastic surgery ...)

Decided my 997.2 3RS needed some more color. On top of that, I had P1 Designs build the seat with 3/4" less padding on the bottom pad so I would have more helmet room. Game changer if you are tall. Quality and fit was perfect.

Through trial and error I discovered that user-end installation is critical. How one places the cushion-side velcro against the bucket-side felt really dictates whether the cushions come out looking smooth like OEM finish or creased and uneven around the corners.

One thing I can say, if you invest time in the install, you can obtain factory-looking results.

P1s are great. I have the same inserts and just added these. It's nice to change simple things up in a car you will probably keep forever.

I wish there was a way to maintain the ventilated seat option on these.

More shout out to P1 Design. Their product is top notch and the foam quality I would say is even better than OEM. I get complement on the seat basically everywhere I go. Absolutely recommend this to anyone looking to do something special for their car.
