Well, that does it. I have to replace the side graphics on mine now. I have some dirt buildup that creates a black outline around the decals.

Griots bug remover has done the trick for me on decal/clear bra edges

[QUOTE=pnorell;15878380]Hard to beat the white gold contrast on a .2GT3RS

Absolutely stunning. The contrast with that white gold and white is fantastic. Nice job.

Nice pics everyone. Has anyone tried a matching color via powder coating? If so does anyone have a color recommendation for prismatic powders?

I've been looking for a powder similar to white gold 539 for some time with no success. I've seen you got some color swatches - if you manage to find something similar, please let me know!

I always say, paint > powder.

What about the durability, though?

No issue when we paint wheels.

Hardeners are used and they are baked at 168 degrees to cure. Same as like a BBS wheel from the factory.

We stock BBS Motorsport original paint in silver, bronze, platinum, white gold, motorsport gold, bronze.

We also can paint any paint code or do brushed, polished, ceramic polished w clear or translucent colored clears.

Mine could use a respray, but still look great from a few feet out. Definitely my favorite GT wheel color on white or black.

Fun project, will run the HRE's during summer with Michelin Super Sports, the Satin Black Porsche GTS wheels are skinned with Michelin Super Sport 4s's, a much better all weather tire for Northern CA.

This was the inspiration behind the paint code #539

Did you use a satin clear over the Weissgold 539, or any clear coat at all?

I ended up doing my wheels in Satin Titanium from Prismatic. 2 coats of Satin Clearcoat on top.

Great info here, thank you! Will be looking to get my silvers repainted to Weissgold for my black 7.2 GT3, maybe soon to be Viola Metallic if I can find the right liquid film or wrap.

I think I’ll go paint with a glossy finish (for the rims).
