Interested in opinions here. The closest sim car I have found to the 997 GT3 is iRacing’s Ruf Track car.
Has as anyone found something more similar in feel on any of the sim platforms?
Thanks
Matty

Unfortunately because of Porsche's old licensing deal with EA most of the current sims lack the 997 and instead have the 991s, super cars, historics, and race cars. Assetto Corsa is my sim of choice and their 1st-party Porsche selection is fantastic even if it totally skips the 997 (+993, 964, etc).
For the 997 though 3rd-party modders in Assetto have filled some of the gap. Below are the 997 mods that I know of, though I've not yet come across a 997 GT3 (non RS, non race car).

- Beto Fernandez made a 997.2 RS 4.0, easily the best 997 out there for Assetto. All the track time you want, no broken coolant lines! It's free but he takes donations: https://www.facebook.com/groups/1371724106281073/ (You have to join the group but they let anyone in. I'm biased to his work, he created a skin to replicate my non-4.0 RS!).
- Here is a video of it in action, note that you have to have a shifter and pedal set w/ clutch to get the most out of it:
- He also has a GT2RS on his page
