LEXAN Rear windscreen
Hello
Noticed that the rear LEXAN windscreen has lots of cracks.... I tried to polish but no improvement
When the car is sitting in the sun it's terrible...
At the moment Porsche Lexan windows are out of stock...?
Is there a way to restore the window?
Maybe sanding 1500 grid- 2000 grid- polishing???
Anyone here tried this?

This might be an overly radical ideal, but 3M makes (or at least used to) make one of those clear paint protection covers but in a form of aerosole as opposo to actual film. It's peelable and would in theory act as clear coat by filling in the cracks and perhaps taking care of the problem. Since it is peelable it might be worth a shot.

I got this tidbit of info from a detailing forum. Basically, get a new window.
Lexan refinishing or resurfacing requires a gas polish process, basically making it impossible to renew the finish and necessitating replacement, which is both easier and less expensive to accomplish.
