There was some info on Cobb and E85, I think it was available for 997.1 GT3 cars-GT2s and Turbos would surely benefit from it

I plan on making the switch to E85 in the next few days. I have a 997 GT3 with factory headers/cats, Custom straight pipe, and stock airbox. The car made 344whp on our dyno last week. I will post up E85 power gains and any other relevant info on the switch as soon as I test it. All tuning will be done via a COBB accessport.

Wow that's pretty darn good, I will have to pick up headers and an intake. E85 should be good for another 30-40 hp on top of that.

I'd be interested to see the results, I'd think e85 on an N/A car is probably only good for maybe 15-20hp tops. That said, i wish someone would make an E85 tune for 996 GT3's.

Interesting to see the difference in peak power with small changes. My 100% stock 997.1 GT3 peaked at 367 whp at 7650 RPM.

Subscribed.

The power increase from The headers alone seems legit.

I talked a bunch with Mitch at Cobb about this (he does much of the Porsche tuning). Basically you get 101 octane level performance, the fuel if you can find it is about 1/4 the cost, and it is consumed about 30% faster than gasoline.

So if you can get the fuel, it's a good mod.

Unfortunately no solid results as of yet, it has been non stop at the shop here and I have had no time for personal projects. We are in the process of moving to a larger facility and should be up and running there shortly, with the extra space and free time in the winter, I should have actual gains and information very soon.

I've been bugging Cobb for a 996 accessport but fallen on deaf ears

I staffed our booth (Eibach) at Rennsport Reunion and couldn't believe how many 996 questions I received. I didn't see that coming.
