Does it need a rebuild? I can't say for certain, if you're going to use for street it's probably fine, but if you want the most out of this system, I would do a rebuild. You can send to Intrax direct and they will do for 175euro per damper. Personally I was just going to install them as they sat.
Condition? When they were shipped to me one stud was severely bent, i've seen cut and uninstalled it. You would need to find an additial stud to install. Also one of the bronze rods that you use to adjust on top was also bent (see photos)

This is the exact kit that traded hands from forum members Savyboy to 1Gunner. I bought 1Gunner's 997.1 GT3 two years ago and reverted to stock suspension. Kit has been in my garage since.
