BBS E88's w/ NT-01 on 18"'s... Question.
So,
I have a set of BBS E-88's in 12" Rears and 10" Fronts. I am hoping to run Nitto NT-01's in the 245/40/R18 Front and 305/35/R18's in the rear.
Am I in the ballpark with the size? I am HOPING this is where I need to be.
Thanks in advance.
BTW, I am not interested in knowing if there is a better tire out there, as this is what I want to run!

Nitto says that max rim size for NT01 in 245 is 9.5 inches, so 10 inch wheel might be stretching the tire. I run 18'' BBS E07 with 275 NT01 up front. Rear I run the same 305 that you reference.

I'm running those exact sizes on 18x9 and 18x12 E88s. So like adi mentions, you'll be stretching those fronts. 275/35 is the same diameter as 245/40 but if you go 265/40 up front you'll have (near) the same diameter as 305/35 in the rear.

245 NT01s will be stupid stretched on a 10".
Here are 275 NT01s on 10s.
NT01 in a 245/40 are significantly narrower than 275/35s. Almost 1.5" narrower.

It's worth mentioning that 305s on 12"s are super stretched as well. I wish I would have known powdr when I had my 996 GT2s. If someone had told me in '02 that I could run a 275 on the front of my car I would have thought they were insane. Powdr, your car is the most awesome 996 I've ever seen. I'm a 996 guy and yours is amazing!! Best JBO PS I bought a set of Cup Cables from you. Please let me know if you have any extra goodies to sell.

stock the GT3 rear is 12" so that's why it's so stretched on the 305 rear. the Turbo runs the same 305 on an 11.5" rear. I'd go wider tire up front if you could fit it.
for a 10" 275 is ideal

I run 245/305 NT01's, multiple sets of wheels, one of which are 10's up front, rest are 9's, rears are all 12's. Use to run 275's up front hence the 10J wheel, but prefer the way the car feels with the 245's.
I can take a pic of how the 245's sit on the 10" wheels (0.5" too wide). Its not "ideal" but it works, haven't had any issues, actually the front end feels a bit more responsive with the 10's, 9.5's would be perfect.
I wouldn't buy a 10" wheel to run with a 245 tire, but I wouldn't necessarily sell a 10" wheel if you already have it, but then my budget is a lot tighter than most on this board.

Okay. So this is what I have decided on:
335/30-18 Rear
275/35-18 Front
I believe this will be my best choice for the E88's. Thanks all! I very much appreciate it!

Three Wheelin'
. Lot of people don't realize how much wheel and tire you can stuff under the fenders of these cars. 10s in the front are certainly doable on the 996/997 cars with careful selection of offsets and a few other mods. 12s can be done in the rear on the narrow body cars and 13s on the wide bodies. Here is my 10/13 set up with 275/335s. The grip the wider foot print gives you is substantial and makes the car much calmer at the limit especially in high hp applications. I went from the typical 9/12 245/305 combo to the larger set up here and it's a game changer. Well worth making the effort to fit the larger rubber...
That is pretty remarkable. What are the offsets that work for a 10 /12 on a narrow body and how much fender work do they require?
