Default PASM Module

I decided not too long ago to no longer track my GT3.

About two years ago I had installed a DSC system which now of course I no longer need and decided to remove it.....but do you think I can find the OEM PASM module I had removed previously?... nah.

So I posted a "wanted" ad here and a fellow Rennlister responded with the exact module I needed out of his car which was an exact duplicate of mine ,a 2007 Gen I 997 GT3.

I thought this would be a "plug-n- play but apparently it may not be according to my local dealer.

The dealership is not certain either way and I guess I'll find out after tomorrows AM appointment.

ITMT, is there anyone who might have definitive knowledge as to whether or not this replacement module I purchased will work or can be reprogrammed to work.

A new "virgin' module is $450-500 which I'd like to avoid if possible.

Thanks for any input you might have.

Might want to ping TPC considering they probably did a lot of 'decoding' the original PASM controler to develop the DSC. Good luck

The original 997.1 GT3 PASM module have part # 997 618 105 90 labeled on the module. On PET it shows part # is 997 618 105 93. If you have either part # it is a simple plug in. If you plug in a module with mismatching part # to the car then you will see PASM Fault message on the dash as soon as you turn the key on.

You don't need a dealer to swap the module. It takes 2 minutes(or less) and doesn't require any tools. Here's the DSC installation link, just reverse the process-
