Default Changing wheel bearing centerlock

My lovely dealer is telling me they can’t get my wheel bearings out

Anyone have the service manual section on how to swap centerlock wheel bearings? I’m gonna go over there tomorrow morning with my tools and do it myself

if they are having mechanical problems getting it out [seized etc] maybe patience BUT if it is they do not have the experience go there with a flatbed .

are they using heat and a press?
is the issue the bearing is stuck in the upright?
or the center on the hub?

You are in SF? Is the car at Burlingame Porsche? If so Pete there should know. Go there and speak with Pete. I'd have to hear him say can't get the wheel bearing out with my own ears before I'd believe that's a problem.

If you end up pulling the car out of the SF dealer give Porsche of Livermore a call. It has 1 or 2 Gold techs and 1 or 2 Bronze techs about ready to advance to the Gold tech stage. I'm sure one of them knows how to change a GT2/GT3 center lock wheel bearing.

Not sure on their issue - just got call Friday and won't see issue till Monday except uprights are off the car and they can't get the bearing out

I suspect it's actually the centerlock shaft that is stuck -

Yes re Fremont - may Pay a task rabbit to just drive them over to Gunther

I'm going to bring my bearing tool with me but never pulled a centerlock center so wanted to see how that comes out

Shocked we are so short on GT techs in Bay Area it's insane

Worst case ship them to me and I’ll bring them to BBI.
