Default 4.0 wing uprights

Are the stock wing uprights on 4.0 taller than the uprights on the 3.8?

No, they're the same and only Baron's and Cup car ones are taller.

The end plates are different on the 4.0. Those are the ones I'd like to get!

Ok, thanks. It was an optical illusion.

I believe the angle on the 4.0 wing is steeper, however I'm not sure if this is achieved through the wing uprights or changes to the wing blade...

As mentioned the barons and the cups are the only taller uprights. I would encourage you to take a look at my build thread to see how I modified the cup uprights to accept the RS wing. Several here have decided to do this and liked the results.

As for the end plates, yes the 4.0 ones are a little more functional and have a nicer bend to them vs standard RS end plates. But the better option for function/performance is modifying the cup end plates to work with the RS wing. I also did this.

The cup end plates increase the effectiveness of the wing tremendously (they are larger in surface area and have most of the area under the wing). They are also flexible and 1/10 in cost of the 4.0 plates.

Cup end plates look too big to me on a standard car.

I had the opportunity to see an RS 3.8 and RS 4.0 side by side, I lease a space in a warehouse for car storage and other lessees have these cars. For the RS 4.0, the AOA is steeper, which appeared to give the wing a taller height, but I'm not sure if it was adjusted to be like that and the RS 3.8 could be matched with the same adjustment.. Obviously the end plates are very different. The wing appeared to have a longer chord length, but it could've been an optical illusion.

Another detail that seemed like it may have been different was the length of the metail piece below the wing that connects the wing blade to the uprights. The uprights, as mentioned, were identical.

If anyone is really that curious, I can go to the warehouse and try to get some measurements.
