Targa Rear Hatch Side Trim Fasteners
Hello All, A couple of the fasteners that hold the rear hatch side trim to the glass are broken. '09 Targa 4S 997.2
Searched the forums, but not much on Targas
The fasteners consist of a greenish flat pot metal machine threaded "nut" and a tiny black torx screw. Together these hold the black plastic trim on the sides of the back hatch glass. See PDF attached for expanded part diagram.
Trim pieces are #12+15, there are 6 of these screw and nut fasteners each side.
Checked with Porsche today and is available as entire trim piece for $1000. Yeah, right...
Anyone have an idea on where to get these? Going to send msg to LA Dismanters also.
Maybe there is a fellow Targa owner having same issue.
I might have to manufacture them from scratch.
TIA

Update #2:
I have a friend with a Milling machine and CNC. We milled a couple of these rectangular nuts from some brass we had lying around. Took some time, but the fix works.
