Default 997 Rear bumper conversion to 997.2 DYI?

I want to upgrade my rear bumper and lights to the updated 997.2 look. Has anyone on this forum done that? And is it a plug and play with the bumper fitment? I understand that the lighting wires might need to be modified but is the bumper swap as easy as some people say it is?

you need
- rear bumper 997.2 (narrow body not the wide one)
- rear bumperettes
- rear exhaust trims pieces
- rear LED tails
- rear control module (the one under the drivers seat) + programming via durmetric pro

you may see on the threads that there are other parts , but the truth is everything else you can re-use (after minor modification).

My current bumperettes and exhaust trim pieces will not work? And where would I find that modules for the tail lights?

Is this something that I can do im my garage or do I need a professional? And do the updated led lights bolt to the same brackets as the original? Thanks in advance for taking the time to answer these questions.

i would get a professional, but i think if u have some basic tools and you know your way around body work you can do it in your garage - its just a swap nothing custom.

the led lights will bolt onto the same brackets as the original - but you may have to shave the connectors of the new tail lights a little (i had to). otherwise the connection points may not make contact.
