Default New 997.1 Owner.. First Porsche

Well, I am happy to say I'm the proud owner of a pristine (literally) and completely stock 2006 Porsche Carrera Coupe with just under 30k miles. Even had the original window sticker in great condition. It also has the original plastic covering the floor mats. They are either from new, or from when the PO bought it CPO from a Porsche Dealer near us probably 6 years ago.

It's a base model with Bose and Nav (even though who needs Nav these days with smart phones).

I've wanted one for a long time and after starting a collection of VW beetles and started looking for a nice VW microbus, I discovered for less money I could get a nice 997.x. (Nicer if I wanted more than 13 windows)

After months of looking one showed up in of all places, the local Toyota Dealer. I thought about it, researched, did checking, talked to the PO and decided to make an offer and they accepted and I took delivery yesterday.

I dont have many pics yet, but here are a couple:

It's a little crowded in the shop now, but I have a new one being built as we speak that is much larger. I am going to call it the V.A.G. Mahal (don't look that up on the net!) Not very original but at least it means anything from VW Auto Group is welcome.

Anyhow, look forward to learning and hopefully helping. I've been on many boards over the years and they've always been a great help.

Nice one. I picked up my 2006 C2S from a VW dealer - though they were good enough to put it through a PPI and replace some items before I bought it.

I'm jealous of your 3 car garage - my GTI has been kicked out into the driveway...
