Hello Everyone, I have been a lurker here, Im looking at the following 2006 911s here in Florida. 6MT 82K mileage. price in the low 30's. Have not seen in person but shows well in pictures with a little bit of leather wear on the seats.
Owner has no idea of the clutch status if it has been changed out he says it still seems strong to him. But I wonder on an 82k car?
Going to go see it in person just to squint it, any suggestions what else I should be looking at aside from doing a PPI if we agree to a price?
The car is just gonna be a weekend car I have a DD.
I paid $27k for my 2006 911 Base (automatic) w/97k miles in March 2017. Out of state so I had to pay a use tax of $2300 here in CA. Very good to excellent condition. Had it Post Purchase Inspected and besides normal wear and tear with few cracked items here and there nothing major was found, no scoring, no particles in fluids filters etc. Engine # seems to show larger IMS bearing too.
The only advise I could give is to save at least 20% overhead as far as how much you can afford in the end.
doesnt matter what the deal is, you should get a carfax, take it to a dealer and have them do a complete inspection. Have them look up all the porsche service history.
then you can decide how much it is worth. If you buy a car that needs $20K in work, thats a deal breaker
I'm getting ready to sell a 2006 C2S Cab for a friend who bought a Turbo. It's got 78K miles, 6 speed manual, black full leather, deviated stitching to match the silver exterior, sport seats and well maintained. PCA board member's car. He's asked me to sell it because he's got a real job and knows I've had good experience selling my cars.
$29K asking in Tampa. 30F88FE1-CDD2-40FB-9C4E-B063F249C41F_zpsy6nsltnk.jpg
I wouldn't go over $30k for that car. If I were you I'd be strongly leaning towards the cab posted by falcondriver at $29k. Looks like a nice car with a few less miles and it looks to be priced fairly.
I'd rather not say on here, it someone knows the car and is looking at it, I would be happy to discuss... It's not my car so don't want to do so. I certainly would say that they would have found these items at any reputable PPI Dealer.
