What a shame the Yellow Tara is a Dingo of a car. As soon as I saw it I thought it was my next challenge to find one for me. Looks amazing

997.2 Yellow T4S are rare. This is the second one I have seen so far. There is also another yellow Targa 4 owned by another RL member.

Thats me.

Love the car. I opted specifically for the base 4 and not the 4s as the additions were not worth it for me, and I wanted 18" wheels (yeah, I'm odd that way) for several reasons.

When you see a car dinged up like that yellow one you know the owner drove it without regard to the machinery so its just a disappointment waiting to happen.

Hello again guys.
Update, just when I have booked my trip to another city for that Nordic gold, a Targa 4s popped up in my city!
These are the only pics I got.
It has 40K KMs on it, really really clean inside out, except for a few abrasion on the interior, an a slight scratch on the oil pan. It has only one owner.
It has vented seats, bose audio, no sport mode, no sport exhaust
The price is about 14K lower than that Nordic Gold.
Down side is it comes without the sport/sport plus, I don't need the LC function, but the sport/sport plus changes shifting speed and throttle response, which I can not get from manual mode of the PDK. I see Suncoastparts offers a upgrade but the dealers here don't offer this service. I really want to do this upgrade.

Have a closer look underneath as the left exhaust seems to be orientated incorrectly. That coupled with the incorrect badging on the rear would make me dig further.
Can't go past cocoa interior.....quality

Why would someone do that to the badging?

Otherwise pretty cool color combo (at least very different, which is cool to see)

Yes I check the bottom and the car had a slight bumb on the exhaust and levave a scratch on the oil pan. That unsymmetrical tip does bug me, will do something about it soon. During the test drive, I was in the passenger seat, when we go over a bump, slowly, the rear had another slight contact to the bump, seems the rear springs are a little soft.

Totally! I've been searching for a simple old school font 911 badge but only only that meets my eye is the 30th jubilee 911 badge, selling from Germany, at around 200 bucks, a little pricy. Maybe I will just put on a 911 on the back.
Love the interior, will upload more photos later.

I’m new to this forum and a rookie for Porsche, but always liked what I saw from what Porsche offered.

So, one day I suddenly realised the used 997’s price falls into my budget. And its the best generation with classic looking and faithfal to its tradition.

I’m driving the Passat R36 now so I assume I’d like the PDK, and the practical glass roof really gets me, so I’m hunting a 997.2 Targa 4S.

Here is the first one that popped up, from like 2500km away.

Distance is not a problem, booked my flight and hotel. Made an appointment with the dealer, who claims the car to be in perfect condition, only the front bumper got a paint job, which sounds totally acceptable.

So I came to the dealer and went straight for the car, the general look is good, but
when I go to the details, things got ugly

These are the frame of the glass roof, nasty fix job, not sure why the roof frame needs fixing, I check the top, no sign of the car has been belly-up.

other 2 issues are navigation not available and the beam adjustment fail, which I did not take pics.

So we drove the car to their workshop to check the base, the engine seems to be in good condition, the mpg really surprises me for an AWD car at 3.8 liters.
Attachment 1156182

Well, when we got to the workshop, I really feel sorry for this baby, not a carefuly driver, plus a terrible fix. I had to walk away though I really like it from the first look.

At first look it appears to be a oil leak
Attachment 1156183
So far its still acceptable. But as you can see, the base had an accident
, the exhaust was out of shape, which leads me to further checking.
Attachment 1156184
Still, I can replace the whole oil pan even with this $hit.
Attachment 1156185
Finally, this, is what makes me walk away from it, broken heartedly.
Attachment 1156186
This aluminum frame clearly received a heavy blow and cracked.
Its been 2 days and part of me still felt I should take her home and give her a fair treatment, but I don’t think I can undo the bad fix to the roof frame, plus I have no wish to give a penny to this dishonest dealer.

So I turned my attention to another one, which only makes me hesitate for its color, what do you think guys?
Attachment 1156187
It has sport exhaust, Nappa interior, Bose, It’s about 7K dollars higher than the miserable yellow baby.I have spoken with the dealer and booked my trip again.
Attachment 1156188

Wish me luck and I will keep telling you what’s going on, if this is not boring you already.

Thanks for looking guys.
