Default rear tire and road noise?

after driving a new car i am more aware of how much noise is coming from the rear tire area even at slow speeds, actually at higher speeds its less noticable.

I am not sure how many miles are on the yokahama 305/30/19 tires but I am thinking it must be the tires??

should I replace the rear tires first?

can I go to a larger tire to protect my champion wheels.

When tires start to become noisy, it may be time to replace them. Check carefully the rear tires and do not be shy to go under the car, near the inside of the rear tires. Check the thread left..... you may have a bad surprise.....

Oh and for the size, stick with the recommended manufacturer sizes. Using bigger tires will bring a whole slew of different issues....among them lower gas mileage and potential rubbing inside the fenders.

I have had three different brands of tires on my 2011 4S. All of them start making nose around 8,000 miles. The rear tires wear out on the inside edge.

I have champion RS-98 wheels and the rears are 11.5 wide and even with the 305 tires the wheels have no curb rash protection.

I think I may just go with the hankook tires for the street.

I just cringe when letting my Girl friend or anyone else drive the car.
