Default Brown Stone Guards + Acid Green Calipers?

With Spring now upon us, I have the modding and maintenance bug again.
Currently my car is sitting with the standard red calipers and clear (yellowing) stone guards.

Recently went to OEM Carrera S II' from Lobster Forks. and ordered Depo LEDs (will install Sunday). What do you think of brown stone guards to go along with my brown roof and cocoa brown interior?

Also got the crazy idea of going Acid Green on the calipers. For some reason, I love the look. Someone please convince me one way or the other.

These are all photoshopped images. Opinions please!

Alan....I'm not crazy about either but I'm not much of a mod guy so there's that! If you like not do it!

I prefer it as is but would go calipers only if I had to make a choice.

It is unique and reasonably priced and easily reversible. If you don't do it you're a pu$$y.

Love the dark stone guard (nice contrast and makes it look longer). I've seen your car color with all different color calipers. I'd hate to step away from the "S" red but I find black looks best... I think anything too bright takes away from the look of the car... my 2 cents...

I consider the proper colors for red brakes, which is the large turbo style, yellow which is PCCB, and green which should be for the hybrid vehicles

Brown stone guards are different, subtle and compliment the cab. The green brakes are visually disrupting to the cohesive package you car has as already.

But its your ride and if you like it, do it. Who cares what the next guy thinks.

These are my thoughts exactly. The read calipers pick up the red from the tails and complete the package. Although I do love the acid green, I think you are right about them.

I had a buddy that picked up a used black 308. He brought it back to stock and then started 'making it his'. At first it was subtle stuff, then came the gold knock off wheels......then.......Gold pin striping. He rolled up to the airport, saw the look on my face and knew he went full mental.

I dont own a single piece of lime green clothing, or blaze orange or hi vis yellow etc. Race cars, track cars etc it looks great and I like to see the crazy stuff. But on a sexy beast for the road there is an elegance in being subtle.

With that crap said, my 997 is the only one of my cars I wanna do something mental like a full Rothmans Livery wrap with gold BBS mesh wheels. So take this advice from a functional loony bin patient..
