I thought someone might want to see what 19" Bridestone Potenza's look like on a Carrera S.

I'm gonna guess S-04's at 235 front and 295 rear based on the tread pattern and stretch.

those are the "pole position" tires? if so, i just ordered the same tires and they go on on monday when i switch out my winters for summers. the ones in the pics look great.

 

S-04 Pole Positions are great street tires. I've been running them for a couple years now. Quiet, good grip, relatively affordable. Not a top-tier autox tire but perfect for the street.

 

Same here. I'm on my 2nd set and very happy with them even in cold weather.

 

I've been running those S-04s for years. I'm on my 4th set on my '07C2S. Great bang for the buck in a street tire.

 

I think I am going to get these instead of the new Pilot Sport 4S. I don't need ultimate grip because I don't track the car and I'm not Patrick Long. I hope they are quieter than my current PS2's. The rears are very noisy. It sounds as though there is zero sound deadening in the rear wheel well.

 

The Poles only cost around a grand at Discount in San Diego. The PS2 350-400 more. I go through the backs in 8k and I have come to really like these. Great over 100+ and have held up in the rain we recently had.

 

Had mine (Potenza Poles) for abt 1 wk. I really like them so far - better than my Michelin PS2s. But that might be because these are brand new, and PS2s had about 15k on them. The Poles are quieter to boot - less cabin roar - better engine noise.

 

I think they will be by next tire purchase. My PS2's have gotten louder with age

 

I had mine at for about 2k and overall happy with them. No complaints and better price point than Super Sports.

 

I've had mine for 12 months very happy. Previously has the MPSS. As a ref point I've taken the potenza's out in aggressive street driving at 45 F. I figure the pavement was at 40F and had not grip issues. This was on a completely dry pavement .

Excited to try them... what's the break in period like on these...?

 

I run these tires and I track with them. IMO, there's no discernible difference from the Super Sports to warrant the price difference.
