Got a line on a car with P2415 code, aftermarket headers/exhaust
Hello all
I have a line on a 997.2 throwing a P2415 code. It has M&M headers and 200 cell cats with PSE. Any ideas if this is a usual code or something more sinister? The car drove fine, not hiccups or anything. Smooth all the way to redline. Thanks for any help!

Looks like an O2 Sensor Code - bank 2 / sensor 1. Could mean loose exhaust connection somewhere or a few other things. I don't know that there are any "usual" codes since there shouldn't be any How many miles? When were plugs & coils last done? What kind of air filter, etc?

I have more information, the codes are P2197 and P2415. Both seem catalytic converter and O2 sensor related. I am sure it is due to the tune or a bad O2 sensor.

P2415: O2 Sensor Exhaust Sample Error Bank 2 Sensor 1.
P2197: Oxygen (O2) Sensor Signal Biased / Stuck Lean (Bank 2 - Sensor 1).
Stuck "lean" means there is an excess of oxygen in the exhaust gas. This suggests an exhaust system leak.
A failed O2 sensor flat lines at 0.45V and there would be a different code in this case. Also, there is a separate error code that is thrown if the sensor heater is not working.
For a bad converter you would see P0420/P0430 (depending upon which side the bad converter was on).
While plugs are getting up in miles the error codes do not suggest a problem with plugs (or coils).
Exhaust leak or possibly a bad sensor.
I'm not that comfortable swapping O2 sensors side to side to see if the error follows the suspected sensor. There is a risk one damages the good sensor.
My inclination absent any signs of an exhaust leak would be to replace both #1 sensors (at least) and clear the error codes and road test the car.

I had similar codes a few months after my header install. They used crappy gaskets when they installed it and they blew out all over the place and it was leaking. I thought it got louder and crapper sounding. PPI should be able to lift it up and start it and see if there are leaks. My dealer used a small mirror , which fogged up, and a tissue to show me the air blowing where it shouldn't. I had to replace all gaskets with factory ones. No issues after.
