Default Bump Steer

Not much on here dealing with front bump steer kits and which of the 2 options are more effective.

Installed BC Racing Coilovers on my C2 Carrera. First drive yesterday and was thrilled with the ride quality but could feel a touch of bump steer. Debating the 2 options. TRS Steering rack spacers or Tie rod?

Looking for feedback from anyone who has done either.

I did the tie rod ends but only because my inner tie rods were shot and needed to be replaced. It was one of those "while you are in there" additions. I'm lowered on Damptronics and do not see any noticeable bump steer.

I'm leaning towards the same conclusion for the same reasons. Also have a very slight wobble at 60-65 which I'm thinking is tie rod related. Car has brand new wheels/rubber/alignment.

Raise the wheel off the ground with jack stands. Hands at 3/9 on the tire and move the wheel. Looseness is usually tie rods. If you look underneath while doing it you can usually see if it's the inner or outer ball joint. Worst case as a test, pop the tie rod end off the knuckle and you will know for sure if it's inners or outers. Plus it can bolt right back on after the test without affecting alignment. But when you replace them you will need an alignment.

Perfect! Will be doing just that today. I see no reason not to replace both inner & outer since inners are under $50 per pair without the boot.
