Hi everyone. First post! I just purchased a 2009 C2S with the Sport Chrono Package.
Listen, I don't know if I am doing something wrong, but when I hit the left function lever forward, the only options I get is LIMIT, INFO, OIL, and SET. I am missing CHRONO, NAVI, AUDIO, and TEL that the ower's manual states I should have. I looked through the PCM as well and can't find where I can activate those features on my center gauge cluster display. The PCM firmware is 1.4.
Any help is appreciated. Please let me know if this is something I need to take to the dealership to program. Thanks.
I had the same (or similar) problem when I got my 09 C2. I was missing some functions and it turned out I had a bad Gateway controller. This is the part of the bus system that coordinates all of the other electronic controllers in the bus system and it limited visibility to the other functions. On mine it was the Sport Chrono and TPMS. Once they replaced the Gateway controller and reprogrammed things it all worked.

Thanks Scottie. I contacted the dealership and they are going to handle it for me.
No worries. Hope it gets sorted easily. Surprisingly the controller wasn't that expensive ($200 and change Canadian). Reprogramming costs were higher but they got it fixed.
I had this issue recently when I had to have my PCM reprogrammed due to a steering wheel swap (switching from the multifunction wheel to the sports steering wheel with paddles). I had the options before the PCM reprogram, but not after it.
It turned out that the Porsche techs messed up and didn't reprogram back all my options. So it may or may not be a defect, just a quick reprogram of the PCM.
Are those features working normally on the PCM unit itself? It's just in the gauges that you aren't able to access them?
I just got the car and never had the chance to use the sport chono feature. Because the options were not available to me, I don't even know what it looks like when it is working. I do see that the previous owner did have some entries in the PCM so I assumed it worked before.
I will be picking up my car back from the dealership tomorrow. They did say that the Gateway control module may just need to be reprogrammed. We'll see and I will let you guys know when I get the car back.
Last question, do you know if the Sport Chrono can be programmed to light up when the headlights are turned on? It looked a bit strange when driving at night and the chronograph is so dark and looks non-functional. Thanks.
UPDATE: sure enough, the gateway controller just needed reprogramming. All the functions are back, and then some! Thanks everyone for the assistance and a big thanks to scottiemac for pointing out the gateway controller!
