Default Ignition lock

Hi
My 2006 997 c2s (tiptronic) starts without pushing the brake pedal. Checked the brake light switch and it is working. Any help???

Can you put it in gear without pressing the brake?

You can not start the engine if your foot is not on the brake and lever is not in P or N.
Double check your brake switch one more time, maybe the switch is OK but it is not properly seated?

If you don't press the brake and switch on the ignition, the engine oil measurement should cycle.

I read that the durametric scan tool can set the car to start without putting the brake on. you may want to check into that

Changed the brake light switch and still have the same problem. Put it on the piwi but there is no option to cancel pushing the brake pedal to start the engine
