Tire Pump

Tire Pump
Before the long Winter sleep in the garage, I was inflating my tires to 50psi with a foot pump. I built up an unnecessary sweat and eventually broke the foot pump from the excessive repetitions to get all 4 corners up to 50.
Before I purchase one for future use from amazon or the rest of the interwebs, I wanted to see what fellow Rennlist members use to pump up their tires. Old school standing bike pump? Electronic portable tire inflator w/ auto PSI adjustment? I've gotten an electronic portable tire inflator/battery jumper combo in the past and it was terrible at inflating anything.
Thanks in advanced.

Yes, one of the options I've seen on amazon say "The tire inflator operates on 12 volts DC and MUST be used with a power port that supports 15 amps. Some 120W sockets might be fused with 10 amps fuses (not supported)."
I have no idea how many amps these 12v connections in our 911 support.

I just use my air compressor. You can buy a small one from Lowes, Home Depot, etc for under $100 that will handle the task and can be used for some other little jobs in the garage as well.

+1 small capacity air compressor
Couldn't even begin to imagine hand or foot pumping 4 tires to 50 psi
Air Compressor and a Longacre tire guage makes things very easy

Wow, floor pump! You must have worked up a good sweat. Most floor pumps aren't built for volume but PSI so that must have taken quite a while. I use one of those a regular basis on my bicycles(road and Mtb).
Why not a basic AC compressor? The prices are very reasonable for a 1-2 gallon(less than $80). I can't stand the little 12V ones as they seem to all have a very high pitch and not reliable. I assume you meant to keep in the garage.

Foot pump? Too old school for me.
Battery jumper inflation in the frunk of the car.
Dual tank oil compressor on the garage wall.
Great for kids bikes, and toys. Wife will even check and fill her own tires with the gauge and tire fitting.
AND, I blow out my in-ground sprinklers every year. (saving $1oo/year to have it done)
You need tools.

PS I went with a 3 gallon air compressor and a tire gauge that connects to the compressor for under $100. Thanks again all.

They both work with 12VDC AND 120VAC, both show current and accurate tire pressure on hook-up and both shut off automatically once the dialed in pressure is reached. I personally always use it on 120VAC but it's nice to know I can also "travel" with either one.

I have one of these in each of my cars. Works flawlessly and has saved my rear many times.

I used to use one of those battery operated units that I kept plugged in to power in my garage.... it was loud, annoying, and slow to fill. It was fine but I got tired of it.... you can get a decent one at any auto parts store.
I finally did it right with a compressor.... see my thread here:
