I started yesterday taking the mufflers out of the car for my gundo. Having already done the center muffler delete and stainless bolts n nut replacement it was relatively easy except for the tip screws which snapped and required drilling out. Having sourced 2" ss pipe yesterday I purchased a foot for 15$. Today I templated the bypass pipe using a paper towel center roll, tape and some patience to make it jiggy. I slide the template over the pipe, maked it with magic marker then cut it to fit. Once fitting well I traced the ends on the muffler pipes, blew a hole in each and then ground to within 3/16 of the marker. I ended up with a 1 3/4" hole roughly on the most perpendicular joint which is the inside diameter of the 2" ss ( actually a little smaller than 2").
I then covered the fitting bypass with paper, cut the paper as per the pipe then took it off and folded it reverse over uncut ss pipe and traced for the other side. I ran out of time and will continue tomorrow. Monday I will take them to a welder, as that is one thing I know they can do way better than me and $80
I'll scan my template then anyone can have it to make things easier.
Props to you for giving it a go. Considered going this myself, but in the end just ordered a set of Fisters and had my shop swap them out. Couldn't be happier with the results.

I'd love a scan of that template. That will save me some time and give me something to do while waiting for my car to be delivered! ;-)
Hope so , everything off to welder today. I took a template off each piece, they are slightly different but as there is some play even there being minimal gap with 1/16" at most anywhere on the fitment.
Yes. A couple of ways. Pick up some new or used stock mufflers. Or, if you don't mind the "look", cut off the added connector pipes and weld in some patches.
Just took it out for a spin and definitely pleased with it . I have to add that I already have the BillyBoat bypass so it is awesome........i thought if it was too loud I could always put the center muffler back in, but after driving it I can say its not going back in.
In normal mode with easy pedalling there is just a slight difference, in sport mode and above 2500 rpm is where it kicks in. I see no reason not to do the 2" bypass. The but dyno is also gotta be 10 hp more, lol.
You will not regret doing this is all I can say.
This is the must have tool to get at the top cat bolt.....a swivel socket adapter
