2006 Carrera S


Lately my C2S has been having a problem with the accelerator pedal becoming inoperative intermittently. Just last night i was driving came to a complete stop then when i pressed on the accelerator pedal, nothing no response. The engine was still running with no idle issues, I stepped on the pedal a few times before you know it, the accelerator pedal started working again and the car drove normally. Not very long ago i was driving at highway speeds and the same problem happened again, the accelerator. pedal became inoperative for a few seconds. This problem has been happening multiple times in the last month.

Has anyone ran into this problem before? I going to do some diagnosing with my fluke multimeter and see what i find.

Interestingly the new to me 2006 C2S has similar issue. Most notably pulling off a traffic light, the throttle just disconnects, as if I completely removed my leg from the pedal.

A slight modulation the it seems to connect again

Took it to dealer and he upgraded the software to latest version and claims this is no longer there. Will verify when I pick up the car on Monday...

Thank you for the info. I'm going to look into the wheel speed sensors. I'll keep everyone posted on my findings.
