7.1 model requires installing an accelerometer (which is already stock on a 7.2) to read the dynamic state of the car, which in turn feeds the brain the info needed to stiffen/soften which corner of the car ... install is not a big deal.

Indeed. I just dropped a line to DSC to see if they might be interested in us arranging a group buy - stay tuned.

Jordan and Tom are great to work with. Good luck on the group buy. I was told they don't do them, but what the heck...go for it. Still an awesome product you won't believe the subtleties until you install it.

I just heard back from Jordan: "We don't do group buys, as any sales or promotions have to be administered through our entire dealer network; this way there's no unfair competition for price points between dealers. We want the focus to be on level/quality of service and tuning support rather than on price point." Worth a try, and a fair-enough response in my view. I'm still going to look at this pretty seriously, particularly as the latest edition now works in two wider ranges and seems to be fully integrated with my SPASM button.

Thanks for trying. Can they at least give us a heads up when the next "sales or promotions" are coming?

I have it on my 997.1
Since I have a custom stereo from a good shop, I had them install the accelerometer.
Love it!

I installed mine last week, and had a track weekend at Thunderhill. I drove 7!hours from Portland down to Willows, so lots of seat time on the road and track.

What I like;

On the road, you can use the dampers in firm and it's not bone jarring when you hit bumps. It is the first time since I've had the car I've been able to use it on the street.
When in regular mode, the car is more compliant for sure.
You can also use the 'sport' button and it no longer auto selects the dampers to firm - they are now individually selected, but selecting 'sport plus' will automatically trigger the damper switch.

On the track with the damper button pressed, the car was very compliant again, and had some brake dive but not as much as before. The car has less body roll, and we had photos taken at this session, and the previous session I did prior to having it installed. The photos show a difference in lean angle.

It's expensive, but worth it as it does transform the suspension and the overall drivability of the car. FYI I've a .2 car so it was a 2 min plug and play exercise. Do it!

Do you think there's any chance this tech could wear out the suspension faster as it imposes lots of real-time switching on the dampers?
