Pelican carries 2 with metal impellers. Jake Raby seems to use ceramic though.

Not entirely correct as I have read. The composite impeller grenades and leave shrapnel that can be retrieved (Porsche OEM style and others). The problem with the metal impeller, it doesn't grenade. So when the bearing fails and starts walking, the impeller will contact the soft aluminum engine case and start chewing away at it (I have seen this done in a previous Jeep of mine, but that was an iron block so not much damage was done).
