Just read the thread. Good stuff. Answered alot of questions i had.
I just tracked my .2 C2S (at Laguna, first day tracking the Carrera, first track day wet, first time at Laguna, Eff, that car is goooood, as is)
What OZ's (spec) did you get? I'm thinking of the same, going 18's for track days,
Since the TPMS's are "farther from" the fendor sensor, did you throw any codes?
You have Eibach's? (what i have)

Car looks soooo good!!

cheers, mike

Thanks for the compliment and congrats on the first track even with the 997! What group did you run with? I've only ever done Laguna in my old Audi...can't wait to try out the 997.

For the wheels I went with the OZ Alleggerita HLTs...at less than $500/ea, it was a no-brainer. If I end up getting a dedicated set of track wheels, I'll probably go forged, but regardless, I do like the look of the car on 18's. For tires, I went with Michelin Pilot sports. All specs as follows:

F: 18 x 8.5 wheel with 235/40ZR-18 tires
R: 18x11 wheel with 295/35ZR-18 tires

My car doesn't have TPMS, so can't help you there. But I did go with the Eibach springs; paired with the B8s and the DSC box, it's a firm set up, but not at all harsh. I've only driven around town at this point, so I'll have to see how things really feel once I get to the track.

i did the Turkey Bowl run, day after Thanksgiving, with the Nor-Cal Shelby Owners group. Have some friends in their club, what a great group to run with. I did 99mph over the start finish into turn 1, in the rain LOL. The race cars were doing 85/90 (slicks though). But with fog and wet, i will go with an instructor next time to better learn my braking zones.
Kool thing is, a few minor things on the suspension to do. Plus a harness bar.....u here in the Bay? East in sig? I want to do T-Hill next....

I'm in the east bay. I have a Brey Kraus Harness bar, 6 Point Harness, and 996 GT3 seat I'm looking to part with.
I just got an equipped GT3 so I don't need them anymore. I swapped them in and out of my C2s for the last few years for track events.
Pretty comfortable and no brainer set up.

How do you like the

R: 18x11 wheel with 295/35ZR-18 tires

on the street? Also, is your car NB or WB?

Thinking about getting 18"s for my C4S... Thx
