Clutch pedal shaking?

Clutch pedal shaking?
Anyone aware of this issue? Just started happening today.... Most apparent in 1st gear from a dead stop. The gear engages fine, but the pedal vibrates/shakes as its coming up to engage the gear.....
Any ideas?
Thanks guys.

I dont think its the clutch wearing out as there is no slippage and the gears engage just find.. Ive had the car for less than 2 months and had it thoroughly PPI'd where the clutch was said to havd 70% life left. 53K miles.

Slave cylinder? Clutch helper spring?
Start with the helper spring as it's not too expensive to replace. Usually it will squeak when its going, not shake. You could even try running with it removed but will likely stall the car going into 1st from a stop. But if the shaking stays with the helper spring removed you know it's something else. It's a DIY but can be hard to reach as you have to somewhat climb under your dash to get access. Big gorilla hands make it harder, smaller monkey hands are easier
The slave cylinder is another option. 997's share hydraulic fluid with the braking system. 997.1's have a bleed screw on the slave cylinder. 997.2's have a return line and are recirculating, so no bleed screw. I doubt it's a bleeding issue but one option to consider. Or replacement. Access can be difficult especially without a lift.
The clutch pressure plate could be a problem. Or the bearing. Both require dropping the transmission. So it gets expensive fast.
Me being a DIY guy would test with and without the helper spring. Then move on to bleed the slave cylinder. Then call in the pros paying someone to fix it. You might want to call in the pros sooner than that as bleeding the slave or replacing it can be a PIA.

Update-
Had my Indy look at it and confirmed the pressure plate took a ****. Terrible! Needs total clutch replacement... $1800. Not too bad compared to what dealer would have charged... $3800.
After further research, apparently this is a common problem in the 997. It was still on its original clutch going string with 53K miles on it. Sooner or later I would have had to replace the clutch anyway.... Would have preferred "later" tho. Haha

Your indy is better than my indy, who just quoted me $3,800 for a new clutch.
I was driving my kid to school this morning, and I started getting somewhat similar symptoms (weird vibrations in clutch pedal and felt slow coming up from the floor) except I was having problems getting it into first from a dead stop.
After dropping him off, I turned around and went straight to indy shop.
2008 with 48k miles still on original clutch.

Asquared...
That is crazy!! Indy prices should not be that high.. I'd check elsewhere if I were you. I ended up getting mine done which included the clutch, plate, etc... And it works flawlessly now. My indy said it was on its original clutch, lasted 54K miles... Looks like the 50K mark is the magic number for when the clutches start to go on these cars, obviously depending on frequency of use, etc. Anyway... Best of luck to you! Please don't get ripped off tho!
Cheers
