Oil Pump - how much volume per minute?
2009 C2S 101K miles
Really cool Chevrolet vid from 1937 (slow start but gets good)
At 6:12, they show how two gears operate as a very effective and powerful oil pump. Cool
At 9:50 they demonstrate the volume of oil per minute by passing oil through a hose onto a wall.... Cool! "Fill a bathtub in three minutes". Wow, that is volume!
So..... what is the pumping rate of oil through our engines? I am starting to see why lighter oil is less parasitic on power.
Bonus question: Why was I surfing looking for vids of bouncing, oiled pistons and cranks and not for b--bs?
