Default Lubrication confusion

Hi all,
New to me 2010 C4S 16,880 miles purchased 1 month ago. I've been
reading posts about changing the fluids as soon as you get the new purchase home. I have changed the engine oil, oil filter, air filters, cabin filter flushed the brake fluid with new. I ordered a new transmission sump cover and the appropriate oil. This is a normally aspirated car and I haven't
taking the lower skid plates off yet, I know I need the front diff oil (Mobilube PTX) but, do I need the AWD controller fluid for clutch, or is this just for the turbo? I know I'm changing trans and diff. prematurely but I want to start fresh.
Thanks
JE

Not sure on you question. But since you want to start fresh consider adding plugs/coil packs, coolant/water pump, and serpentine belt to your list.

7.2 has electronic clutch in the front diff, so get the special fluid for that as well

I'd change the blinker fluid too.

First of all welcome to the forum. I believe by "7.2" he means 997.2 which is the second generation 997 series of the 911. It began in 2009 for the naturally aspirated models so your car is a 997.2

While the water pump on the 997.1 has been a maintenance item, this does not appear to be the case for the 997.2.

Welcome aboard. Post some pictures of your new steed, or it never happened.

At 16k miles? Way too soon imo.

Aluminum block ... 4 years ... change the plugs regardless of miles. They creak and feel terrible as they are removed. IMHO, this service is cheap compared to adding more corrosion (at the ends on the threads that are exposed to the combustion chamber) over time that could damage the head when the plugs are removed. The coils are probably fine unless they have been driven on salt laden roads.

My experience with the PDK makes me wonder if 6 years or 60K miles is the right service interval. I'm inclined to believe in the 991 schedule of two times more. The pan is pricey and only needed to be changed (drain plug problems) in some 2009 and very early 2010 models. Try removing the plug first. If it comes out OK, the pan is good.

I would change the All Wheel Drive Controller oil.

It sounds like you will be a good care giver. Well done.

Do you happen to know the type of oil for the controller oil?

Thanks Cbst09,
So many abreviations, it's hard to keep track! And yes, mine is a 997.2 2010 PDK C4S.

+1 and too early for PTX unless you are experiencing jamming going into first.

I get it, new car, what can you do.... you want to do something....

Personally, I would just do brake fluid and engine oil w/filter. 997.2 appears to be a solid engine. I would just follow the maintenance procedures in your manual. They denote time as well as miles.

Peace
