^that looks awful. I've never understood why people put "porsche" on the sides. So people on your left and right know what you're driving?

Non black wheels...
Funny, every time I see total black rims with the rim lip not painted I have to remind myself the tires do not have white sidewalls.

I'm also not a fan of decals, but to the OP I'd look a few pages back in this thread; the user BAD_NO_1 has a red 997 with some nice stripes and graphics. That may give you some ideas...T

Well, that goes back aways, we old guys like it. My very first Porsche got when I was YOUNG was a new '70 914 Electric Blue with the White Porsche. It was THE deal, back in late '60's and early 70's. You had the Porsche graphic and 15" Fuchs you had it all.
I also like numbers and sponsor decals. Street race faux.

So which stone guards to go with? Rims are factory painted gloss black with 5mm spacers. Do I go gloss, matte or CF?

A bow on top and parking it in my driveway as your gift to a total stranger comes to mind.

You can also try Suncoast for the dog legs. Pretty inexpensive and decent quality!

Spoke to Dan at Magnagrafix. He suggested the speedster CF guards. Said they just fill out that spot a little better than the regular ones and highly recommended I go that way. Hard to disagree. Great guy.

Full detail Monday. Then in for tint and that's it for now after stone guards and mesh grills
Then my goal is to REALLY learn to drive the car. Gonna do some research for some local track days for beginners and take it from there. I think a 7 year old car with 20k deserves to be driven for its intended purpose and not just around town. Gonna take the chain off that dog now
